At Wong Orthodontics, we know that there are lots of choices out there when it comes to your orthodontic care. Dr. Wong has carefully selected only the highest quality, most efficient treatment options available that are sure to give you exceptional results. Our entire team is dedicated to give you a smile that is as unique as you are.

Titanium Orthos combines the most precise bracket and wire system with the proven material benefits of titanium – durability, flexibly, and strength. Titanium archwires offer a unique strength that delivers continuous, sustained force to gently move the teeth into position while titanium brackets provide precise pressure over the course of treatment. Titanium Orthos are also more comfortable and aesthetically appealing as they are smaller and have a lower profile than traditional metal braces.

Damon Clear is part of the Damon system, which combines tie-less brackets and high-tech wires that move teeth quickly and comfortably. Damon Clear combines the best of traditional clear braces and efficient technology to deliver a discreet treatment experience with impressive results. While clear braces tend to be less durable and are slightly larger than traditional metal braces, with special care they look and work amazing.

Clear Guide aligners straighten teeth just like standard braces, but are virtually invisible and completely removable. They consist of a series of comfortable acrylic trays that are changed out approximately every two weeks during treatment. While clear aligners may not be suitable for certain misalignment cases or complex bite problems, they can be a alternative for some patients who want a straighter teeth, but do not want to wear traditional metal braces. Aligners can also be beneficial for patients with previous orthodontic treatment that want to make minor corrections to their smile.

Elastics (Rubber Bands)
Elastics, or rubber bands, are an important part of orthodontic treatment. They supply the pressure needed to move teeth and jaws into their correct position. Therefore, to achieve the desired results, you must carefully follow the instructions you receive regarding their placement and use. Any time missed in wearing your rubber bands will only make your treatment take longer.
Palatal Expander
Palatal expanders create more space in a child’s mouth by gradually widening the upper jaw. It is typically used when the upper jaw is too narrow for the lower jaw, when the upper teeth are over crowded, or when a permanent tooth is blocked from coming in correctly.
Separators
Before braces are placed on your teeth, separators (or sometimes called spacers) are placed between specific teeth in order to move them slightly apart to create space for orthodontic bands. Avoid sticky foods, toothpicks, and flossing while wearing separators. You may brush normally.
MARA
The Mara is a non-removable appliance that is designed to correct severe overbites. It helps reposition the lower jaw by promoting its forward growth and realigns the entire jaw into the proper position. The MARA works 24 hours a day to maximize growth modification.
TADS
Temporary Anchorage Devices (TADS) are small titanium screws that are positioned in the mouth to serve as an anchor for moving teeth in a more controlled and predictable way.
Retainers
Retainers keep your smile beautiful by keeping your teeth in their new, correct positions after they have been straightened. Wearing your retainer as directed is crucial to prevent regression of your treatment.

All retainers at Wong Orthodontics are made in our in-house lab and include an Essix, or clear retainer, for your upper teeth and a mini Hwaley retainer for your bottom teeth.

AcceleDent® is an orthodontic device that applies calibrated vibrations (micropulses) that transmit through the roots of the teeth to the surrounding bone to help increase cellular activity and speed up the rate that teeth can move. Used 20 minutes each day, it is clinically shown to speed up tooth movement by as much as 25% while reducing orthodontic discomfort.

Our office is proud to use the Lythos™ Digital Impression System to capture highly resolution, 3D images of your teeth and mouth without the goop of traditional impressions. This state-of-the-art intraoral scanner captures high-definition scans at all angles of the tooth surface. Capturing accurate and detailed data is critical to the orthodontic diagnosis and treatment plan. With the Lythos scanner, Dr. Wong has the most accurate data to create a smile treatment plan customized specifically for you.

At Wong Orthodontics we are fortunate to have an in-house lab to make most of the retainers for our patients. This means that you will get your retainer quicker and we can ensure that it is a perfect fit.
